The following Temporary positions (on a 3 year fixed term contract) exists at Western TVET College for a NSF Project, on the Council establishment

POSITION REFERENCE NUMBER SALARY PER MONTH DUTIES
FACILITATOR FUNDAMENTALS FAC/NSF/FUND/01 R18 300.00
  • Preparation of lessons
  • Conducting classes according to the project guidelines
  • Keeping daily attendance register, which is audited
  • Grading of assessment tasks as per Portfolio of Assessment(PoA)
  • Ensure that all students have the correct Portfolio of Evidence(PoE)
  • Any other reasonable tasks delegated by the management of the college or its delegation.
FACILITATOR AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FAC/NSF/AUTO/01 R18 300.00
  • Preparation of lessons
  • Conducting classes according to the project guidelines
  • Keeping daily attendance register, which is audited
  • Grading of assessment tasks as per Portfolio of Assessment(POA’s)
  • Ensure that all students have the correct Portfolio of Evidence(POE’s)
  • Any other reasonable tasks delegated by the management of the college or its delegation.
FACILITATOR ECD FAC/NSF/ECF/01 R18 300.00
  • Manage and facilitate the ECD learnership programme
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments
  • Record and monitor the daily attendance and absenteeism on the register and reporting to Project Co-ordinator
  • Keeping records of assessment
  • Liaise with the Project Coordinator and the HOD of Skills
  • Prepare the assessment and model answers
  • Conduct re-assessment of non-competent learners
  • Prepare POA’s and POE’s
  • Distribution and monitoring of stationary
Minimum requirements:
  1. Must have at least an appropriate 3-year qualification (REQV 13) or a Trade plus a N3 or equivalent qualification, with appropriate training as an Educator.
  2. Must be registered with SACE
Additional requirements: Appropriate training as an Assessor

SENIOR ADMIN CLERK SAC/NSF//01 R13 630.00
  • Support the Project Manager with all the projects and logistical support
  • Perform the duties of a secretary
  • Arrange, prepare and co-ordinate all meetings within the project
  • Create Reports
  • Liaise with all project stakeholders
  • Assist with all office administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing, information processing etc. and telephone management
SENIOR FINANCE CLERK SFC/NSF/01 R13 630.00
  • Administrate the NSF project.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with the financial administration
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of NSF quarterly reports
  • Liaise with NSF stakeholders
  • Administer day-to-day finance of the project
  • Assist with ordering of tools and stationery for NSF project
  • Attend project meetings
  • Safe-keeping of all NSF documents, records and office resources; handling the electronic and physical filing of documents
  • Support and monitor the expenditure to ensure the effective utilization of funds.
  • Support the Manager to ensure compliance with deliverables, procedures and policies.
Minimum requirements:
  1. Must have GR12 plus 2 years’ relevant experience.
Additional requirements:
  • Computer Literate
  • Good communication skills.

POSITION REFERENCE NUMBER SALARY PER MONTH DUTIES
PROJECT MANAGER PCOR/NSF/01 R40 676 33
  • Oversee the implementation of the NSF project
  • Communicate all curriculum issues to the Campus Manager
  • Provide relevant project statistics and information on NSF projects matters
  • See to it that all learning material and equipment are ordered for the NSF Programmes
  • Approve, administer and manage the curriculum purchase requisition at campus level
  • Manage and control full-time studies and part time studies as the HOD
  • Manage and control NSF project
  • Establish and maintain records of staff attendance, department or divisional structure
  • Communicate circulars
  • Support and motivate Lecturers
  • Encourage and sustain academic excellence and improve learner performance.
  • Assist with recruitment, registration and induction of students.
  • Facilitate general academic and career development of students.
  • Prepare and present lessons in compliance with the College annual project plan, the projects time-table and the College’s Quality Management system.
  • Co-ordinate the procurement of the programme’s training needs.
  • Provide guidance on syllabi, curriculum and learning outcomes.
  • Implement and monitor all policies that impact on learning delivery including examination and certification of students within the department.
  • Create a conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students.
  • Liaise with the Lectures, Head of Department/acting Campus manager and Student Support Officers in providing support interventions to students.
  • Assess students, capture marks, analyse, interpret, effect appropriate remedial action and maintain the necessary ICASS and ISAT records.
  • Facilitate the distribution of textbooks and student packs. Manage and monitor staff and student attendance.
  • Chair meetings of Lectures and Students within the division
  • Responsible for ensuring stakeholder management projects are reported timeously and accurately,
  • Facilitate the process of submitting stakeholder reports;
  • Support the HOD Skills in Stakeholder meetings and Task Teams,
  • Provide secretariat services for the Stakeholder Management directorate,
  • Project management of stakeholder meetings,
  • Coordinate the contribution of different branches towards the implementation of stakeholder resolutions,
  • Facilitate stakeholders working group meetings,
  • Support the implementation of the stakeholder management strategy,
  • Manage staff reporting to the Director and Secretariat services for the Directorate;
  • Maintain a stakeholder database.
Minimum requirements:
  1. A relevant degree / BTech degree (NQF level 7) and a qualification in Project Management
  2. 5 years’ relevant experience in Project Management
Additional requirements:
  • 2 Years’ experience as a Supervisor
  • 2 Years’ experience in the education sector with a good understanding of NSF Programmes, council systems, procedures and budgeting processes.
  • Experience in the implementation of NSF, SETA and government related programmes.
  • Advanced Computer Literacy.
  • A valid code 08 driver’s license.
  • Good communication skills.
