OUR MANDATE

Student Support Services provides a variety of services to students to help them become effective, functioning individuals with highly developed personal and social skills, capable of adapting to changing life demands and entering the workforce. This service covers pre-entry, on-course, and exit support and is available to all students on our campuses.

Overall, the mandate of Student Support Services is to foster student success, retention, and holistic development by addressing the diverse needs of students and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.

Student Support Services assist students and young people facing a range of barriers to learning in achieving their educational and developmental potential by providing a range of strategies and specialized support at the individual, group, college, and area levels.

Student Support Services typically encompass a wide range of resources and programs aimed at helping and supporting students in various aspects of their academic and personal lives. The mandate of such services can vary depending on the institution and the needs of the student population.

Provide academic support through tutoring, advising, guiding, and workshops. Assist with developing effective study habits and time management skills.

Implement programs that engage and connect students to the campus community. Offer counselling and mental health services to support student well-being.

Support holistic development: Enhance personal and social skills through workshops and extracurricular activities. Provide career guidance and job placement services to prepare students for the workforce.
